Il Tonino's in the bathtub. He has a terrible habit of wanting to drink the bathwater. For the last 18 months he has been hearing mama and daddy say "don't drink the bathwater!" (Which is a so un-AP thing to say.) He has just started learning to really "swim" in the bathtub and have fun moving all around, although he hasn't voluntarily dunked his head in yet.
So he was making bubbles with his lips in the water, but then inhaling and swallowing some of the water. I asked him to not swallow the water, but just spit it out of your mouth, really meaning for him to just let it dribble out of his mouth.
In response, he immediately scooped some bathwater into his mouth and then violently spat it out horizontally (thankfully towards the bathtub wall).
I quickly tried to backpedal and tell him not to do that, but he quickly caught onto the fun of it and gave me a mischievous smile.
Sigh.

They should design bathrooms with kids in mind, for those moments when there's more water on the floor than in the tub.
