Thanks so much for the sweet words, everyone. I think I am feeling better now. The baby has been moving around a lot, and I am much more patient and calm when the baby seems to be sleeping. Because really, everything is going well.
Early this morning I couldn't sleep (after getting up to pee for the 4th time), and I felt the very first Braxton-Hicks contraction of this pregnancy!! I'm amazed that I felt it so early but once you've experienced them (two pregnancies!) you know what they are. So that was kind of cool. And I have noticed a sudden hardening of my belly area instead of it being all completely squishy and doughy. The fact that my bladder seems to have decreased by at least a factor of 2 is a good (if not annoying) sign.
What is also sweet is that Il Tonino's good friend had a baby sister recently. Now Il Tonino wants, nay, demands a sister, just like his friend. We are preparing him for the possibly that it could be a brother, but he just dismisses that by saying "it's a girl." Hilarious. We shall see!
